Lyzette Wanzer, MFA, currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Intersection for the Arts and as a Creative Writing Faculty member at The University of Chicago Graham School. As an author, Wanzer's forthcoming work, "TRAUMA, TRESSES, & TRUTH: Untangling Our Hair Through Personal Narrative," addresses themes of Black natural hair and identity. Wanzer is an active member of the National Writers Union, where involvement includes serving as the Steering Committee Parliamentarian. Additional recent roles include Writer in Residence at the Santa Fe Art Institute and Writing Workshop Instructor at The Loft Literary Center. Recognition includes grants from the San Francisco Arts Commission and the Black Artist Foundry. Lyzette Wanzer holds an MFA in Fiction Writing from Mills College and a BA in Theatre from Franklin & Marshall College.
