Manager, Scholar Virtual Engagement at Chicago Scholars

Amira Shotwell is a Senior Associate of Scholar Virtual Engagement at Chicago Scholars. Amira has been with the organization since April 2019 and in their current role since September 2021. Prior to their current position, they served as an Associate of College Success and Mentoring, where they were a member of the Storytelling and Communications Community of Practice and the Mentor and Leadership Community of Practice. Amira has also worked as an Account and Digital Media Coordinator at Pique Public Relations, a Social Media and Marketing Associate at Marquette Avenue Events, and a Research Assistant at UChicago Medicine. In addition, they have experience as an Elective Teacher for the REACH Program through Summer on the Cuyahoga. Amira's experience in communications, marketing, and research make their a valuable asset to Chicago Scholars.

Amira Shotwell has a Bachelor's degree in Comparative Human Development from the University of Chicago.
