Justin Vibbard

Principal Librarian at Chicago Symphony Orchestra

Justin Vibbard is an accomplished music librarian with extensive experience in prominent orchestras and music festivals. Currently serving as Principal Librarian for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra since September 2023, Justin has also held the position of Faculty (Library) at the Sarasota Music Festival since May 2015, where responsibilities include instructing and mentoring library students. Previous roles include Principal Librarian for the Sarasota Orchestra from August 2004 to August 2023, and Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra Librarian at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts twice, first from 2007 to September 2013 and again from June 2022 to September 2023. Additionally, Justin has participated as a presenter at the Major Orchestra Librarians' Association, contributing sessions on Photoshop Basics and library practices. Educational qualifications include studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Union Adventist University.
