Carmella Berthia, NBCT, M.Ed, is an experienced music educator with over a decade of service within Chicago Public Schools, currently serving as the piano instructor at Curie High School. With a passion for inspiring students, Carmella has influenced over 3,000 learners and has expertise in teaching a variety of music forms, including classical piano, modern band, and vocal music. This educator has also held various roles, including department chair, director of the South Campus All City Chorus, and a virtual instructional coach for new teachers of color. Educated at Chicago State University and the University of St. Francis, Carmella brings a well-rounded approach to music education, fostering a love for diverse musical literature through engaging performances and collaborative instructional planning.
