Alejandro Canete

Alejandro Canete currently serves as the Head of Equity Statistical Arbitrage and Chief Data Officer at Chicago Trading Company since May 2022. Prior to this role, Alejandro held significant positions at Millennium Management as the Global Head of Systematic Strategies Platform and Quantitative Researcher from April 2014 to January 2022. Alejandro co-founded and led Pan Alpha Trading as Head of Trading from May 2010 to December 2013, and previously founded IFITEC, a FinTech startup, serving as CEO from January 2004 to April 2010. Alejandro's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Applied Data Science from the University of Chicago (2022-2024), an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management (2019-2022), a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from Baruch College (2011-2019), a Master of Science in Applied Finance from Universidad del Desarrollo (2005-2006), and a degree in Engineering, Computer Science from Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria (1999-2006).
