Katharine Lunde

Katharine Lunde has extensive experience in labor relations and legal representation, currently serving as Director of Labor Relations at the Chicago Transit Authority since April 2010. Lunde participates in collective bargaining with 17 unions and represents management in labor-management communications. Previously, Lunde held the position of Senior Attorney, successfully arbitrating over 20 grievances and representing the CTA in various legal forums, including federal and state courts. Lunde's legal career began with a law clerk position at the City of Chicago, followed by roles as an Associate Attorney and Summer Associate at the Chicago Transit Authority, and earlier experience as a Summer Intern at the Dane County Circuit Court. Lunde's education includes a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and an MPA from Illinois Tech Stuart School of Business, among other qualifications.
