Phil Jurik

Phil Jurik is currently the Metro Editor at Chicago Tribune Media Group since April 2018. Prior to this role, Phil served as Editor at Chicago Tribune and Deputy Metro Editor. With a background in journalism, Phil has experience working as a reporter, assistant city editor, and sports editor at Daily Southtown. Phil also worked as a reporter at The Kansas City Star. Phil holds a master's degree in Public Affairs Reporting from University of Illinois Springfield and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Northern Illinois University.
