Akemi Harrison

Akemi Harrison is a seasoned news professional currently serving as the Director of News & Multiplatform Content at WGN-TV since August 2025. Previously, Akemi held various leadership roles at NBCUniversal, including News Director, where responsibilities included managing content strategy and brand development efforts, and Interim News Director, showcasing a strong ability to lead during transitional periods. Akemi's career also includes significant contributions as an Executive Producer at WPXI-TV and KTVU 2, and roles at ABC10 and KTXL FOX40 News, where impactful projects and awards, such as an Emmy nomination, marked achievements.
