Steve Johnston

Steve Johnston has a diverse work experience in photography, beginning with their role as a Staff Photographer at LIFE Newspapers from January 1996 to October 2000. Steve then worked as a Freelance Photographer for SchoolSports from September 1999 to November 2001. Following that, they joined Pioneer Press/Sun-Times Media as a Staff Photographer from October 2000 to October 2010. Steve also started their own photography business, Steve Johnston Photography, in 1998, where they serve as the Owner. Steve later worked as a Freelance Photographer for Sun-Times Media from January 2011 to January 2015. Steve currently works as a Freelance Photographer for the Chicago Tribune Media Group since January 2015. Additionally, they held a Supervisory role at Central Steel Fabricators since November 2010.

Steve Johnston attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1990 to 1995, where they studied photography and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
