William Camargo

Freelance Photographer at Chicago Tribune

William Camargo has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. William is currently serving as an Adjunct at Pasadena City College since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Lecturer in Photography at California State University, Fullerton from August 2022. William also worked as a Lecturer at the University of California, San Diego starting from September 2021. In 2019, William served as the Commissioner of Heritage and Culture at the City of Anaheim. William has also worked as a Contributing Photographer at Chicago Reader since September 2017 and as a Contributor at In These Times since June 2017. William has freelanced as a Photographer with Chicago Tribune Media Group from July 2015. Additionally, they are an accomplished Fine Art artist, primarily focusing on photography and performance art, with upcoming exhibitions in NYC and at the University of Indiana in 2017. William has also worked as a Contract Photographer with ZUMA Press since September 2012 and as a Teaching Assistant to Ken Gonzales-Day at Scripps College starting from September 2018.

William Camargo has a strong educational background in photography. William obtained a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Photography from Claremont Graduate University from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's of Fine Art degree in Creative Photography at California State University, Fullerton from 2010 to 2014. William also holds a Photography Certificate from Fullerton College, where they studied Professional Photography from 2007 to 2010.
