Olivia Schmitt is currently serving as Blog Director and Writer at Strike Magazine since August 2022. In addition, Olivia has been a Gallery Teacher at Raclin-Murphy Museum of Art since September 2023, leading discussions on art for students at Notre Dame and planning lessons that encourage analytical thinking. Olivia is also involved with the Program of Liberal Studies as a member of the Student Advisory Council and works as a Sailing Instructor at the Chicago Yacht Club since June 2022. Olivia's upcoming participation in the Summer Honors Program at the American Enterprise Institute in May 2024 will provide a unique opportunity for professional development. Olivia holds a Bachelor's degree in Program of Liberal Studies and French from the University of Notre Dame (2022-2026) and earned a High School Diploma from Saint Ignatius College Prep (2022). Previous experience includes working as a Camp Counselor at Granor Farm from June 2017 to August 2021.

THE WATER IS CALLING YOU! Founded in 1875, Chicago Yacht Club is one of the oldest and most respected yacht clubs in the world. Its mission is to encourage, promote, and develop knowledge, participation, and enjoyment of all aspects of yachting. To that end, the Club hosts many world class competitions, including its signature Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac and numerous North American and World Championships. The Club is also recognized as a leader in sailing education, with one of the largest junior sailing programs in the United States.
