Joshua Butler currently serves as a Youth Worker Associate (Instructor) at Chicago Youth Centers since June 2024. Joshua has extensive experience in youth development, having previously worked as a Youth Development Specialist at Gary Comer Youth Center from September 2020 to February 2024, where responsibilities included leading programs and supervising over 300 youth daily. Additionally, Joshua held roles as an Academic Tutor and Academic Camp Counselor, focusing on academic and social-emotional learning. Alongside these positions, Joshua has been the Audio and Visual Coordinator and Percussionist at Carey Temple AME Church since October 2014, performing weekly and preparing for services attended by up to 200 individuals. Joshua is pursuing an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences at City Colleges of Chicago-Olive-Harvey College, with an expected graduation in January 2025 and previously graduated from Noble Schools-Gary Comer College Prep in June 2020.
