James Lovell

James Lovell has an extensive work experience history in various organizations. James started their career in 2002 as a Huchoosedah Academic Tutor for Seattle Public Schools. James later joined NAVASA as a Dan Than Member from 2006 to 2008. Lovell then served as the Vietnamese Language Instructor at The Evergreen School from 2008 to 2011. James worked as the Director of Academic Services at Vietnamese Friendship Association from 2006 to 2012. Lovell also held roles at Refugee Women's Alliance (ReWA) as a Youth Program Manager for a brief period in 2013. James then joined School's Out Washington, where they worked as an Educational Services Program Manager and later as the Program Quality Director until 2018. Lovell further served as the Director of Development and Advancement at Neighborhood House from 2018 to 2021. James then moved on to Chief Seattle Club as the Director Of Development and eventually became the Chief Community Development Officer. Currently, Lovell is a SeaTac City Councilmember, holding the position of Position 5 since 2023.

James Lovell attended the University of Washington from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Studies, with a focus on Vietnamese Language and Music.
