Anastacia Visneski

Anastacia Visneski is an accomplished professional with extensive expertise in crisis communications and disaster response. Currently serving as Chief Member at Chief and an Instructor in Crisis Communications at the University of Washington since 2021, Visneski also founded Merewif, a consulting firm specializing in disaster response technology. Previous experience includes high-level roles in marketing and operations at Oracle, H2O.ai, and Amazon Web Services, where responsibilities encompassed leading the Global Disaster Response program and managing comprehensive marketing operations. With a robust background in public affairs with the U.S. Coast Guard, including critical roles during major incidents like Hurricane Katrina and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, Visneski combines a deep understanding of crisis management with strong digital media skills. Educational qualifications include two Master's degrees from the University of Washington in Digital Media and Communities and Networks, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in English.
