Jo Yocum

Jo Yocum is a seasoned leader in nonprofit management and community engagement with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the National Vice President of Field Operations at Playworks since January 2017, Jo also holds the position of Executive Director. As a member of Chief, an influential network for senior women leaders, Jo advocates for the advancement of women in leadership. Jo is a candidate for the Indiana House of Representatives, aiming to represent District 88 in early 2024. Previous roles include Assistant Director at Simon Youth Foundation and Managing Director at Teach For America, along with significant positions at the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America and City Year. Jo's educational background includes participation in the AllState Foundation Nonprofit Leadership Program and degrees from California State University, Los Angeles, and Hanover College in Cultural Anthropology.
