Cathy Newman

Cathy Newman currently serves as the Match Operations Manager for Chiefs Rugby Club since January 2024. Earlier, Cathy worked as a Match Commissioner for the World Rugby WXV1 series in New Zealand in November 2023 and as a Match Manager for the Test Match between the Black Ferns and Wallaroos in September 2023. From February 2022 to August 2023, Cathy was the Venue General Manager at Waikato Stadium during the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™. Cathy's career includes prior roles as Match Operations Manager at Chiefs Rugby Club from 2016 to 2022, Rugby Operations Manager for Counties Manukau Rugby Union from 2009 to 2015, Sport Development Officer for Sport Waikato from 2008 to 2009, and Club Development Officer for Counties Manukau Rugby Union from 2006 to 2008.
