Leena Augimeri

Leena Augimeri, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of child development and program development. Leena is currently serving as the Director of Program Scaling, Strategic Partnerships & SNAP at the Child Development Institute, a role they began in September 2022. Additionally, they hold the position of Director of Scientific and Program Development & Centre for Children Committing Offences, a role they have held since October 1985.

Dr. Augimeri is also an Adjunct Professor and Graduate Faculty Member within the Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development at the University of Toronto, a position they have held since August 2010.

Leena is known as the Co-Founder and Developer of the Child Development Institute's award-winning evidence-based SNAP (Stop Now And Plan) program, which focuses on helping children manage their behavior.

Leena Augimeri, PhD, has an extensive educational background in counselling psychology, crime and deviance, and communications. Leena attended the University of Toronto, though the specific start and end years of their education are not provided.
