Katie Peinovich

Clinical Social Worker at Child Mind Institute

Katie Peinovich is a seasoned clinical social worker with extensive experience in trauma interventions and child welfare. Currently at the Child Mind Institute since January 2014, Katie delivers evidence-based trauma interventions, including TF-CBT, to children in public schools and conducts social emotional learning workshops for grades 3-12. Prior experience includes serving as Clinical Supervisor at the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation, where supervision was provided to social workers in school-based programs, and as Children's Program Director at Sanctuary for Families, overseeing counseling and childcare services. Earlier roles include Children's Program Supervisor and Children's Counselor, both focused on supporting children affected by domestic violence, as well as positions at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity as Volunteer Coordinator and VISTA Volunteer. Katie holds a Master's degree in Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
