Matt Haugen currently serves as the Associate Vice President of Public Engagement and Communications at Child Trends, where the focus is on enhancing the lives of children through evidence-based research and raising public awareness on various issues affecting youth. Prior to this role, Matt displayed expertise in content strategy at StoryTeller Media + Communications and also played significant roles at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, where efforts were directed towards inspiring community support for poverty housing elimination. Early career highlights include serving as Executive Producer for FOX 9 Morning News at KMSP-TV and as a Producer for WCCO-TV. Matt Haugen holds a Master's degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northwestern University.

The Early Childhood Data Collaborative (ECDC) supports state policymakers’ development and use of coordinated state early care and education (ECE) data systems. The ECDC provides tools and resources to encourage data-driven state policy changes and provide a national forum to support the development and use of coordinated state ECE data systems.
