Tamara C. Defer

Tamara C. Defer is currently the Chief Leadership & Engagement Officer at Children & Families First. Tamara has previously worked as Talent Acquisition for Christiana Care Health System and as Director for Baylor Health Care Systems.

Tamara has always been interested in leadership and engagement, which is what led their to pursue their MBA in Healthcare from George Washington University. After completing their MBA, Tamara decided to move to Wilmington, Delaware, and start working at Children & Families First, where they could put their skills and knowledge to use in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Tamara C. Defer has earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The George Washington University - School of Business, with a focus in Business Administration and Management and Health Care. Tamara also holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Delaware in Human Resources Management and Services. Tamara is certified by SHRM in PHR.
