Kristi Tilkens has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Kristi started their career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Grancare Nursing Center in 2001. From 2002 to 2011, they worked as a Registered Nurse at HSHS St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center, initially starting as a nurse extern before transitioning to an RN position. During their time at HSHS St. Mary's, Kristi held various roles, including Clinical Manager for Women's and Infants, Director of Inpatient Medical Services, Telemetry, and ICU, and finally, Director of Inpatient Medical Surgical Services. In 2019, they joined Children's Wisconsin as the Director of Patient Care Services. Throughout their career, Kristi has demonstrated strong leadership skills, managing large teams and overseeing a variety of healthcare services and departments.

Kristi Tilkens earned their Bachelor's degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in the period 1999-2003. Later, they completed their Masters degree in MSN Leadership and Management from Western Governors University between 2014 and 2016.
