Nana S. Akom

Nana S. Akom, MHA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2008, Nana worked as an Administrative Intern at Penn Medicine Princeton Health. From 2011 to 2015, Nana served as a Research Assistant, Regulatory Specialist, and Project Coordinator at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In 2016, Nana interned at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital as an Administrative Intern in Global Services and at the Peterson Center on Healthcare as a Graduate Intern in Research & Identification. From 2017 to 2022, Nana held managerial and directorial positions in Strategy and Business Development at Children's Health. In 2022, Nana joined Stamford Health as a Director of Service Line Strategic Planning. Most recently, Nana has taken up the role of Senior Director of Strategy at Children's Health in 2023.

Nana S. Akom, MHA has a Master's degree in Health Administration from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Wellesley College. They also have a High School Diploma from West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North. In addition to their formal education, Nana S. Akom has obtained certifications in A2E Business Fundamentals, Management Accelerator part of Black Leadership Academy, Business Strategy, and Problem Solving from McKinsey & Company in 2022.
