Leszek Lisowski, PhD, MBA, serves as the Unit Head of the Translational Vectorology Unit and Manager of the Vector and Genome Engineering Facility at the Children's Medical Research Institute since November 2015, as well as an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney and the Military Institute of Medicine. As a co-founder of LogicBio Therapeutics, Inc., Lisowski has contributed to the development of gene therapy vectors targeting genetic and infectious diseases using innovative non-pathogenic Adeno-Associated Viral technology. With previous roles including Associate Professor at the Military Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Director of the Gene Transfer, Targeting and Therapeutics Facility at the Salk Institute, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University, Lisowski's academic journey began with a PhD in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Cornell University, followed by an MBA from the University of California, San Diego.
