Jodi Coombs has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Jodi currently holds the position of Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Children's Mercy Kansas City since October 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Tufts Medical Center as the Senior Vice President of Floating Hospital for Children, Department of Pediatrics & Women's Health from 2016 to September 2019. From 2013 to 2017, they served as the Vice President of Doernbecher Children's Hospital & Women's Services at Oregon Health and Science University, where they achieved impressive results in pediatric safety metrics and quality leadership. Before that, they held the role of Director of Inpatient Cardiovascular Nursing at Boston Children's Hospital from 2010 to 2013, making significant contributions to medication safety and pressure ulcer prevention. Earlier in their career, they served as the Inpatient Heart Center Director at Stanford Children's Health | Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford from 2001 to 2010, overseeing the successful opening of a 20-bed CVICU and promoting excellence in clinical nursing quality.
Jodi Coombs, MBA, BSN, RN has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus in Health Care from Walden University, completed in 2008. Jodi also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSN) degree in Nursing from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. In addition, Jodi Coombs is a Registered Nurse certified by the State of Massachusetts.
