Mark Connelly

Research Director at Children's Mercy Kansas City

Mark Connelly has a diverse work experience in the field of healthcare and research. Mark started their career in 2004 as a Clinical Associate Faculty at Duke University School of Medicine. In 2006, they joined Children's Mercy Kansas City as a Clinical Health Psychologist and later became the Research Director. In 2016, they moved to the University of Missouri-Kansas City as a Professor of Pediatrics. Mark has expertise in both clinical practice and academic research.

Mark Connelly earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Brock University in 1998. Mark then went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Psychology at The University of Kansas from 1998 to 2004. Mark continued their education with an Internship in Behavioral Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2003-2004. Mark pursued a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pain Management at Duke University School of Medicine from 2004 to 2006. Most recently, from 2023 to 2025, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Data Science from Eastern University.
