Jessica Nash has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Jessica started their career at Children's National Health System in 2007 as a Pediatric Resident, where they underwent three years of training with a focus on community health and advocacy. Following this, they held various roles at the same institution, including Assistant Professor in the Community Pediatrician department and Emergency Department Clinical Associate. In 2017, they joined the DC Breastfeeding Coalition as Co-Secretary, contributing to efforts aimed at increasing breastfeeding rates and reducing health disparities in the District of Columbia. Jessica's most recent role is Associate Medical Director at Children's National Hospital, which they started in 2023. Additionally, they served as the Director of Student Development at The George Washington University starting in 2019.

Jessica Nash attended Howard University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Prior to that, they graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry. In addition, they obtained the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners® (IBLCE®) in 2021. Jessica also became a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics in September 2012.
