Xavier Borderie

Xavier Borderie has a diverse range of work experience spanning various roles in technical writing, content creation, and community management. Xavier began their career as an Editorial Assistant at Praktica, where they managed the creative community and wrote weekly website reviews. Xavier then worked as an Internet Analyst and Journalist at Benchmark Group, where they wrote tutorials, interviews, and reports for the technical/programming website Journal du Net Développeurs.

Moving on, they joined Netvibes as a Developer Network Manager, responsible for writing documentation and providing tech support for third-party developers. Xavier then worked as a Technical Writer at 4D, contributing to the creation of user documentation and API reference text for the open-source NoSQL platform, Wakanda.

Subsequently, Xavier joined PrestaShop, initially as a Documentation Manager, where they wrote and updated the software's documentation in English and French. Xavier also served as an Open Source Advocate, acting as a liaison between the developer community and the Core team, and writing technical and marketing articles.

After PrestaShop, Xavier worked at SIGFOX as the Head of Content, overseeing content strategy and processes for Sigfox Build, the company's technical hub. Finally, they joined PayFit, where they held the position of Head of Tech Content. In this role, they were the sole content writer for the entire Product & Tech department, handling technical writing, training teams, and improving documentation.

Presently, Xavier Borderie is employed at Chiliz as a Senior Technical Writer & Developer Engagement Specialist.

Xavier Borderie began their education in 1997 at EPITA: Ecole d'Ingénieurs en Informatique, where they studied computer programming. However, no degree or field of study is specified for this period. Xavier then attended IIM Digital School from 1998 to 2001, obtaining a degree in Project Management with a focus on Web/Multimedia Management and Webmaster. In 2001, they enrolled at Digital Campus Paris and completed a degree in Multimedia Development, specializing in Computer Programming.

In addition to their formal education, Xavier Borderie has obtained a series of certifications from LinkedIn. These certifications cover a wide range of topics, including JavaScript development, web performance, JavaScript classes, closures, prototypes, and scope.
