Scott's work experience also includes roles at GSK, where they served as the Vice President for Global Trademarks, and at Colgate Palmolive, where they were the Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Trademarks. Scott began their career as an Assistant General Counsel for Trademarks at Altria, previously known as Philip Morris.
Scott has a strong background in trademark, copyright, intellectual property, and commercial matters. Scott has overseen litigation, counseling, negotiations, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic planning.
Scott Thompson obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Communication Arts from Cornell University, where they studied from 1976 to 1980. Following that, they attended Brooklyn Law School from 1980 to 1983, where they earned their Doctor of Law (JD) degree with a focus on Law.
In terms of certifications, Scott Thompson obtained their license to practice law in New York State in 1984, making him a licensed attorney in good standing.
