Gustavo Urdaneta

Gustavo Urdaneta currently serves as a Transmission Dispatcher at Chilquinta Energía S.A. since July 2019. Previously, Gustavo held various roles at CORPOELEC (Enelven) from 1998 to 2018, including Operations Planning Unit Head, where responsibilities encompassed supervising engineering staff and conducting power system analysis, and coordinating outages across power networks. Other positions included Control Center Engineer, responsible for monitoring system performance, and SCADA/EMS/DMS Engineer, where training and application testing were key tasks. Gustavo began their career as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Maraven S.A. in 1996 and 1997, participating in projects related to dielectric oil analysis and substation safety assessments. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, along with a Diploma in Power Systems Operation.
