Richard Allan

Richard Allan MA has extensive work experience in the rail industry, with their most recent role being the Managing Director at Chiltern Railways since October 2020. Prior to this, they held various senior positions at Arriva Rail North (Northern), including People & Strategy Director & Deputy Managing Director, Customer & People Experience Director & Deputy Managing Director, Commercial Director, Regional Director, and Assistant Regional Director. Richard was responsible for transforming the company's commercial approach, managing operations and customer service, and leading teams of up to 1,800 colleagues across multiple locations. Before joining Arriva Rail North, they worked as the Head of Marketing and Communications at Chiltern Railways and the Head of Communications at GNER.

Richard Allan MA has a Postgraduate Certificate in Executive Leadership from Leeds Beckett University. Richard also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from the University of Glasgow.
