Joanna Chao

Joanna Chao is an accomplished product designer with extensive experience in design systems and user experience. Currently serving as a Product Designer for Design Systems at Chime since September 2021, Joanna has successfully designed and deployed a modern web app while creating a comprehensive web design system that nearly doubled the core component library. Previously, Joanna worked at Facebook from October 2014 to May 2021, where skills in product design, interaction design, and visual design were utilized to enhance consumer products for teams such as Profile, Events, and Internal Tools. Earlier experience includes an Experience Designer role at OpenTable, contributing to client-facing iPad and web applications. Joanna Chao holds a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Davis, and attended Monash University.
