Karen Roberts

Karen Roberts, PMP, CPA, is an experienced professional with a diverse background in finance, project management, and customer experience leadership. Karen has held various roles throughout their career, starting as an Assistant Controller at Saturn Corporation in 1990.

In their most recent position as the Director of Finance at Chimes, Karen has been responsible for overseeing financial operations. Prior to that, they worked as a Management Consultant and Volunteer at KRR Creative, where they provided strategic coaching and advising to executives and served in various leadership roles.

Karen also served as a DE&I Council Board Member and Accounting Manager at Aerotek, where they advocated for diversity and inclusion in the workplace and managed accounting functions.

Earlier in their career, Karen served as a Controller at Dragos, Inc., where they managed finance operations for a remote workforce across multiple time zones. Karen also spent a significant part of their career at The Agora Companies as a Controller, leading projects and automating processes.

Karen's extensive experience in financial management, project leadership, and customer experience make their a valuable asset in any organization. Karen holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Karen Roberts, PMP, CPA, Customer Experience Leader, holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Maryland State Board of Public Accountancy. Karen has also pursued additional certifications in areas such as customer success management, design thinking, content creation, and accessible video strategies from institutions such as LinkedIn.
