John Thompson

John Thompson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in media and music production. Currently serving as a Senior Copy Editor for CGTN's live TV show "Dialogue," John oversees script editing for nightly broadcasts and online content. Prior to CGTN, John held the position of Senior Copy Editor at SINOLINGUA Publishing, where numerous non-fiction books on Chinese celebrities and culture were edited for global publication. With a background in music, John co-founded MoonSound Productions, working as a composer and producer, while earlier experience includes roles at Twin Flames Productions and Oasis Studios, focusing on music for TV and studio management. John began a career in journalism as a Copy Editor at CCTV+, editing news stories for English broadcasts, following education in English Literature at the University of Iowa.
