Lina Cao

Lina Cao is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the fields of artificial intelligence and optical sciences. Currently serving as the AI team director at China Telecom Cloud Computing since September 2022, Lina has previously held significant roles including Technical Solution Expert and Project Manager at Huawei, where leadership of the Petal Search project encompassed the entire technology flow of the search system. With a robust background in academia, Lina has worked as a researcher at Sabanci University, providing guidance to PhD students and developing specialized software, and as a lecturer at Karadeniz Technical University, teaching courses in electrical engineering and programming. Additional experience includes positions at Seagate Technology and the University of Chicago, where Lina contributed to advancements in magnetic recording technology and optical system designs, respectively. Lina holds a Ph.D. in Optics/Optical Sciences from Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
