Charlie Walker

Charlie Walker has been working in economic development for over 20 years. Charlie started their career as a principal and co-founder of The Diligent Group. Charlie then became the President & CEO of Roswell/Chaves County Chamber of Commerce. After that, they became the Manager of Economic Growth and Planning for the City of Georgetown. In July 2003, they became the President CEO of Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation. Charlie improved economic environment by leading various research, marketing, and site facilitation programs. Charlie then created and implemented policies to invigorate existing industry, commercial business, and real estate investments. In February 2006, they left Fairbanks Economic Development Corporation to become the President & CEO of Chippewa County Economic Development.

Charlie Walker has an MPA and a BA in Government-Economics from Angelo State University. They also have a certification from the Advanced Economic Development Leadership Program in Master Economic Development Practitioner and another from the International Economic Development Council in Ceritified Economic Developer.
