Puranjay Chandel

Puranjay is a member of the investments team at Chiratae Ventures, where he focuses on early-stage investments in tech startups – by building investment theses, conducting diligences and sourcing new companies.

Previously, Puranjay interned with Chiratae where he worked on developing sourcing pipelines and conducting diligences for Sonic-Chiratae’s flagship seed initiative. He has had short stints with Anthill Ventures where he helped them launch their urban-tech investing practice, Dalberg Advisors where he worked on a multi-continental clean energy project, the business team at Urban Company and with the CM Office-Govt. of Gujarat.

Puranjay graduated from BITS Pilani-Pilani Campus in 2022. He led the Model UN Society there and led the Sales & Marketing for Oasis one of the largest cultural festivals in Asia. He is a licensed advanced scuba diver with 75+ dives around the world and has also been a national-level basketball player. He enjoys geopolitics, history, backpacking, sports and cinema.
