Vanessa Rizo

Vanessa Rizo is a DOJ Accredited Representative at CHIRLA since June 2022. Previously, Vanessa served as a Paralegal and Legal Assistant at the University of California, Davis - School of Law from August 2021 to June 2022, and also worked as a Student Assistant. Prior experience includes an Immigration Services Intern role at the International Rescue Committee from June to September 2021, where assistance was provided to the Legal Department in immigration matters and with USCIS forms, specifically N-400s. Additionally, Vanessa was an Economics Intern at the International Rescue Committee from June to December 2020 and a Spanish Tutor at the University of California, Davis from September 2019 to March 2020. Vanessa holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations with a minor in History and Human Rights from the University of California, Davis (2018-2022) and a High School Diploma from McFarland High School (2014-2018), along with dual enrollment studies at Bakersfield College (2016-2017).
