M.D. Yasir Arafat

Md. Yasir Arafat is an experienced professional in naval architecture and engineering, currently serving as Executive Engineer and Officer-in-Charge (Project) at Chittagong Dry Dock Limited-Bangladesh Navy since March 2016. Responsibilities include preparation of construction drawings using AutoCAD, cost and weight estimation, project management and supervision of approximately 50 government projects, documentation, and policy formulation related to procurement and monitoring. Additionally, Md. Yasir Arafat has been a Faculty Lecturer at Bangladesh Naval Academy since January 2018, teaching courses in naval architecture and marine engineering. Previously, work experience includes a role as Assistant Design Engineer at Western Marine Shipyard Ltd. from April 2015 to February 2016, focusing on construction drawings, weight estimation, inclining experiments, and client correspondence. Educational qualifications include a B.Sc. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and an MBA in Finance from East Delta University.
