Sierra Janway is an experienced professional currently serving as Program Coordinator II for Employment & Training Services at the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma since December 2014. In this role, Sierra contributes to the mission of providing employment training services. Previously, Sierra worked as an Indian Child Welfare Social Worker, focusing on the well-being of Choctaw children and families under the Indian Child Welfare Act of 1978. Additionally, Sierra was involved as a STAR Program Assistant, recognizing academic achievements among tribal youth. Prior experience includes a position as Staff Assistant at the U.S. House of Representatives, where responsibilities included constituent communication and meeting preparation. Sierra holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Native Studies from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, earned between 2013 and 2017.
