Michael Shemer

Michael Shemer has extensive experience in strategic finance, business planning, and operations within the hospitality industry. Since November 2014, Michael has served as Vice President of Strategic Finance & FP&A and previously held the role of Vice President of Upscale Brand Operations at Choice Hotels International. Michael’s career at Choice Hotels began in 2004, leading to various roles including VP of Business Planning and Sr. Director positions focused on business transformation and financial services. Prior to this, Michael was an Engagement Manager at Jefferson Wells and held multiple internal audit roles at Bethlehem Steel from 1990 to 2003. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Loyola University Maryland.
