Alicia Haley

Alicia Haley is a Designated Crisis Responder in the Pacific Northwest. For the past decade, she has worked in the mental health field with a variety of vulnerable populations throughout the US. Alicia’s academic achievements include a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, and a Masters degree in Social Work with a sub-concentration of Military Social Work from the University of Southern California.

Alicia has held various social service positions including direct client care, as well as development and implementation of preventive and intervention services. She has worked with populations such as at-risk youth and their families; individuals with mental health and substance use issues; the homeless; those with disabilities; veterans; and victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. She is experienced in Trauma Informed Care; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; Mindfulness within the LBGTQA+ community; with BIPOC communities; and with individuals that have neurodiverse conditions.

Alicia has engaged in an array of community advocacy opportunities for social justice and community relations with law enforcement. Her areas of interest are Intersectionality and mental health, and she has appeared on local social media platforms providing psychoeducation on Intersectionality, mental health, and substance use. She is the current chairperson of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee at her place of employment and assists with creating an environment of cultural humility for the personnel and clientele.

Alicia’s drive comes from a culmination of academic achievements, community liaison work, and a desire to see the world shift to a more inclusive and hopeful society.
