Andrea Bald

Andrea Bald has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry, starting in 1993 with Telecom NZ. At Telecom NZ, they served as the Manager of Local Access Design for the Waikato/BoP region, overseeing a team of 16 designers and managing customer-driven network extensions and modifications. Andrea also maintained relationships with external stakeholders and internal teams, such as sales and network maintenance.

In 1998, Andrea joined Spark New Zealand as a Systems Analyst and Project Manager. Andrea worked in this role until 1999. Andrea later returned to Spark New Zealand in 2000 as a Business Analyst and was promoted to Senior Business Analyst in 2005. Andrea held these positions until 2011.

In 2012, Andrea joined Chorus NZ Limited as a Business Architect. Andrea worked in this role until 2018 when they were promoted to Principal Solution Architect. In 2020, they became the E2E Program Architect for Customer and Network Operations and eventually moved up to the role of Head of Capability for Customer and Network Operations in February 2022, their current position.

Andrea Bald attended The University of Auckland from 1988 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree in Electrical & Electronic field of study. Later, from 1997 to 1999, they pursued further education at The University of Waikato and obtained a Diploma of Management Studies with a field of study in General Management.
