Diane Robinson

Diane Robinson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Diane currently holds the role of Head of Internal Communications at Chorus NZ Limited since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Self Employed communications consultant at Acorn Communications Ltd starting from March 2020.

Diane also worked at Hutt City Council, where they held two roles. From January to December 2022, they were the Head of Customer, Communications, and Engagement. Before that, they served as the Communications Lead from August to December 2021.

In 2021, Diane worked at the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) as the Manager for the Scholarships program from April to August. Here, they developed and delivered a new scholarships and pathways approach to support individuals in the primary sector.

Before joining MPI, Diane worked at the Environmental Protection Authority NZ as the General Manager of Engagement from April 2019 to October 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Group Manager for Communications & Strategy from January 2016 to April 2019.

In their earlier work experience, Diane served as the Communications Manager at Steel & Tube Ltd from December 2013 to December 2015, where they advised and supported the CEO and lead team on various initiatives.

Diane also worked at TelstraClear as the Head of Communications from January 2010 to January 2013, leading a team responsible for internal and external communications.

Furthermore, Diane has experience as a Communications Consultant at EDANZ from October 2009 to January 2010 and as the Communications Manager at Local Government New Zealand from April 2009 to October 2009.

Their career began at Contact Energy Ltd, where they worked as a Communications Advisor from October 2008 to April 2009.

Diane Robinson attended William Edwards Secondary School in Essex, UK, but the specific years of attendance are not provided. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled in Harlow Technical College, where they pursued a degree in Journalism: NCTJ. Their studies at Harlow Technical College focused on media, law, reporting, and feature writing. In addition to their formal education, Diane also obtained a certification as an Accredited Practitioner in Emergency Management Communications from AusVetPlan in April 2007.
