Garry Konings

Garry Konings has an extensive work experience spanning over several years. Garry started their career at Telecom New Zealand in 1986 as the Complex/Data Networks Manager. Garry then worked at Telecom Repair Services Limited as the Engineering Manager from 1991 to 1998. Garry also held positions at Logical Networks as the Waikato BoP Branch Manager from 2000 to 2004, and at Logical CSI as the Branch Manager for Waikato/BoP from 2000 to 2005. In 2005, they became the Director of Layer 8 Solutions Ltd. Garry joined Alcatel Lucent NZ in 2007 as the Capability Manager, and later became the Data & Parameter Configuration Manager leading a team of 16. Garry left Alcatel Lucent NZ in 2012 to join Alcatel Lucent as the Service Delivery Manager, where they managed an Operations Management outsource agreement with Transpower. In 2014, Garry joined Chorus NZ Limited as the Network Services Manager. Overall, their work experience highlights their expertise in network services, service delivery, and operations management within the telecommunications industry.

Garry Konings obtained their BE degree in Electrical (Telecommunications) from The University of Auckland from 1975 to 1978. Before that, they attended Hamilton Boys' High School from 1970 to 1974. In terms of additional certifications, Garry obtained a certification from Kepner-Tregoe in June 2019. Garry also holds certifications in ITIL v3 Foundation from Pink Elephant Education & Technology and MPLS Networking from Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, although the exact dates of obtaining these certifications are not mentioned.
