Katrina Smidt

Katrina Smidt has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over 30 years. Katrina currently holds the position of Deputy CFO at Chorus NZ Limited since August 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Financial Controller at Chorus NZ Limited from July 2021 to November 2022. Before joining Chorus NZ Limited, they were the Senior Finance Manager PSM at the same company from October 2018 to July 2021.

Earlier in their career, Katrina worked at Vodafone as a TV Commercial Manager from July 2017 to October 2018 and as a Commercial Manager from May 2015 to June 2017. Katrina also gained valuable experience at Vodafone New Zealand where they worked as a Pricing Manager from June 2007 to July 2013.

Before their time at Vodafone, Katrina worked at Fairfax Media as a Finance Manager from January 2003 to June 2007. Katrina also held the role of Financial Accountant at NZ Liquor Limited from July 2000 to January 2003.

Katrina's career began at Foodstuffs (Auckland) Limited, where they worked as a Senior Accounting Specialist - Retail Accounting from June 1995 to July 2000.

Throughout their career, Katrina has gained significant experience in finance and accounting roles, demonstrating their expertise and adaptability in different industries and organizations.

Katrina Smidt's education history begins in 2001 when they enrolled at Unitec | Te Pūkenga and pursued a Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting. Katrina'sundergraduate studies lasted until 2007. In 2009, they returned to Unitec for further education and obtained a Post Grad Diploma in Accountancy, completing their studies in 2011. After a brief gap, from 2012 to 2013, they attended the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants, specializing in Chartered Accountancy.
