Robert Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2006, they worked as a Retail Sales Assistant at Stirling Sports for two years. In 2011, they joined Deloitte New Zealand as an Analyst and later progressed to the role of Senior Analyst and Field Manager. Moving on, from 2015 to 2017, Robert worked at Balfour Beatty plc as a Group Financial Accountant. In 2018, they joined Logicor as a Group Reporting Manager. Currently, Robert is employed at Chorus NZ Limited, where they have held multiple roles, including Senior Finance Lead, Revenue Planning Manager, and Finance Manager. Robert is currently serving as a Senior Finance Manager, a position they have held since January 2023.

Robert Wilson attended The University of Auckland from 2007 to 2009 and again in 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Commerce, General. In March 2014, they obtained the Chartered Accountant certification from the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
