Qimeng Luo

Qimeng Luo has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles and companies. Starting in 1997, Luo worked as a Programmer at Morningstar for a brief period. In 1998, Luo moved to Applied Biosystems as a Sr. Engineer until 2003. Following this, Luo joined Symantec and served as a Lead/Sr. Server Engineer, making significant contributions to Symantec Endpoint Protection Management Server 11-12.x until 2011. In 2012, Luo worked as a Tech Lead/Sr. Principal Software Engineer at SS8 Networks. Subsequently, in 2013, Luo became a Principal Engineer at Dell EMC, where they played a vital role in designing and developing EMC's next-generation software-defined storage product. That same year, Luo co-founded TechValley and served as the CTO until 2015. From 2015 to 2016, Luo worked as the Principal Data Engineer/Tech Lead at Meltwater Social. Then, from 2016 to 2018, Luo was the Architect/Sr Manager of Data Platform/AI at CloudCar™, where they built the company's cloud-based data platform and personalized infotainment solutions. In 2018, Luo joined Coupang as the Director of Engineering until 2021. Currently, Luo serves as the VP of Engineering at Chowbus.

Qimeng Luo completed a Bachelor of Engineering degree at the University of Science and Technology Beijing between 1990 and 1994. Qimeng then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Loyola University Chicago from 1996 to 1997.
