Inês Alves is a highly accomplished researcher and patient advocate currently affiliated with the Comprehensive Health Research Center since June 2023. With extensive experience at the European Medicines Agency since February 2015 as both a member of the Committee for Orphan Medicinal Products and a Patient Expert, Inês contributes to the review of Medicines Overviews and Plain Lay Summaries. Inês also serves as a Patient Expert representative and Steering Committee member for ERN BOND, focusing on rare bone diseases, and co-leads the Patient Outcomes working group for EuRR-Bone. Additionally, Inês founded and leads ANDO Portugal, a national organization supporting patients with skeletal dysplasia, and serves as the Science Communication co-manager for the GEMSTONE COST Action. Inês's educational background includes a Ph.D. candidacy in Human Biomechanics at the University of Évora, along with various degrees in veterinary medicine and certifications in clinical investigation and translational research.
