Nicole Hess Kempton

Nicole Hess Kempton is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in alumni relations, community engagement, and organizational management. Currently serving as a Senior Consultant at Chris Marshall Advancement Consulting since November 2023, Nicole previously held key positions at Duke University, including Chief of Staff to the Vice President of Alumni Affairs & Development and Senior Director of Graduate & Professional School Alumni Affairs, where significant contributions were made to enhance alumni engagement. Prior to Duke, Nicole worked as Community Relations Coordinator at Saratoga PLAN and Washington Director at the Laogai Research Foundation, managing operations and promoting human rights initiatives. Nicole also has experience in the real estate sector through roles at Marsh and Parsons and Foxtons, and has a solid foundation in research and education from time spent at the Animals Asia Foundation. Nicole holds degrees from Duke University and The University of Hong Kong, including a BA in Asian Languages & Literature and an MPhil in Comparative Literature/Cultural Policy.
