Mary Whitaker is the current Chief Legal & HR Officer at CHRIST COMMUNITY HEALTH SERVICES INC. Prior to this, they were an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland University College and at the University of Memphis. Mary has also worked as an attorney at Counsel on Call and as VP Legal Affairs at Regional Medical Center at Memphis.
Whitaker has a long history of working in the legal and compliance field in various capacities. Mary has experience developing and implementing compliance programs, providing ongoing monitoring and education, and advising management on a range of legal and compliance issues. In their current role as Chief Legal & HR Officer, they are responsible for overseeing all legal and HR matters for the organization.
Mary Whitaker received a JD from The University of Memphis—Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, an MSSW from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a BA in Sociology and Social Work from the University of Mississippi.
Mary Whitaker reports to Shantelle Leatherwood, Chief Executive Officer. They work with Talia Peterson - Chief Financial Officer, Will J. Jackson III - COO & Chief Information Systems Officer, and Reginique Green - Chief Clinical Officer, Clinical Operations.

Through our strategically placed health care centers and outreach programs, we provide high-quality health care and other services to thousands of patients, caregivers, students, and families each year. Our goal is to go where the need is greatest to provide quality services in the name of Jesus Christ.
